Coolest Disney Movies You Have Never Seen

No childhood is complete without the amazing cartoon adventures which make the very best childhood memories that stay for the rest of life. Children love cartoons. In fact, cartoons are kids’ biggest weakness. They immediately fall in love with them and attach quickly to their favourite cartoon superheroes.

We have all had ours once. The childhood mission of little boys was to become as strong and powerful as Superman, Spider-Man, Hulk or Batman. For girls, on the other hand, the biggest wish was to look like the beautiful Cinderella and Snow White or to have the wild adventures of the brave Pocahontas. There is no denying that Walt Disney characters and cartoons played a huge role in the childhood of kids of our generation. They still do, but times have slightly changed and today’s Disney animated movies do not carry those powerful life lessons we have grown up with once upon a time.

Since I am a huge fan of the classic Walt Disney cartoons, I present you few Disney movies I am pretty sure you have never seen nor heard of.

The Three Caballeros (1944)

This spectacular animated movie is a hidden gem in the Disney world coming from 1944, speaking about three ‘amigos’ that feature stereotypical Hispanic and Latin characters. Their trip to South America makes an exciting, fun and historical plot, definitely worth watching.

The Black Cauldron (1985)

This is a heartwarming fantasy story about a boy named Taran who is a pig-keeper, but his biggest dream is to become a strong fighter and defeat the evil king. But, Taran has no time to dedicate on improving his fighting skills, as he must take care of an oracle-pig. Finally, Taran’s time comes and he triumphs over the evil king, thus meeting the lovely princess Eilonwy. ‘The Black Cauldron’ was released 20 years ago by the world-renowned Disney production.

Saludos Amigos (1942)

Saludos Amigos is one of the Disney animated movies that came out in 1942. What this extraordinary animated film truly represents is an early wartime animated movie commissioned as a World War II propaganda campaign. By featuring an amazing period footage, movie’s main protagonists Goofy and Donald Duck, are making acquaintances with the airplane Pedro and the parrot called José Carioca. Another important thing to mention is that this Disney animated movie has a great music selection. Definitely a must-watch.

Melody Time (1948)

Released in 1948, the ‘Melody Time’ animated movie, signed with the name of Disney, is actually a reappearance of José Carioca and Donald Duck, as well as Johnny Appleseed – a Texas cowboy who has been raised by his fellow coyotes.

Fun and Fancy Free (1947)

It is one of the rarest, yet magnificent Walt Disney musical cartoons that came out in 1947.  ‘Fun and Fancy Free’ features two segments:

  • Mickey and the Beanstalk
  • Bongo

Bongo’ is a circus bear that wants to live freely and happily in the wild. Through many obstacles and tricky adventures, he finally manages to escape the circus and make his wish come true. He also meets the love of his life, called Lulubelle. ‘Mickey and the Beanstalk’, on the flip-side, features the characters of Donald Duck, Goofy and Mickey Mouse that thanks to the power of some magic beans, successfully discover Willie the Giant’s castle. The entire animated movie is bountiful of music, fun and adventure.
