And even though it’s cold, being able to function properly outside without having to be equipped like you’re about to climb Everest, is a real treat, especially for people that have large backyards.
Just picture this: the sun is shining and luring you to get outside, refresh your outdoor furniture, make some coffee, tea or cocoa and enjoy. But on the other hand, the cold literally gives you a needle pinching sensation and forces you to stay home. A situation without a solution? Not quite. Here are a few outdoor heating solutions you can implement in your outdoor lounge area to make it a little cozier:
Electric in-floor heating systems
For starters, this is exactly what you should be installing in your house; generating even heat throughout the home, these systems even the temperature in the room from the ground up. Electric in-floor heating systems are especially perfect for sun-rooms; sun-rooms have glass walls, and even though they catch sunlight and warmth, they tend to be chilly during the spring and early autumn, which means they’re not exactly temperature friendly. Installing this type of outdoor heating solutions into sun-rooms makes them functional during the whole year, allowing you to enjoy the winter idyll with a cup of hot drink in your pajamas!
Layers for visual warmth
You know where all the problems with cold, running nose and sneezing come from, right? The feet! When your feet are cold, your body is cold. Go even further and get blankets; and not just any type of blanket, but those made of sheep fur – almost like being wrapped in coziness and warmth! And if you want something more stylish and even warmer, go with goat rugs; they may feel itchy on the skin, but will definitely heat you.

I bet it’s quite unpleasant to cook on ice-cold countertops outside. And you want to use your outdoor kitchen and grill space even in winter. So, heat up the countertop! Use countertop heaters which are very thin (only 0.6 cm in thickness) and are adhesive-backed and discreet.
Keep it warm and stylish
Just because we’re talking about outdoor heating solutions, doesn’t mean you should focus only on getting warm and neglecting the other important thing : keeping it stylish. Combine colours with care, add details and other ornaments to create a meaningful atmosphere. Don’t just pile things up and leave it all because it’s not inside the house. The outside lounge are matters just as much.
