Stress
Although many people believe that drugs can help them relax and forget about the problems that make them stressed, in reality, it is the opposite. The long-term use of drugs can lead to increased stress and anxiety.
Anxiety and Depression
Feeling depressed and anxious after using drugs is common. People use drugs in order to overcome depression, but the truth is that drugs can only worsen these feelings.
Mental illnesses
Experts claim that there is a link between drug use and mental illnesses. It’s still unclear whether regular drug abuse can lead to mental illnesses, but one thing is for sure. A person who has chronic mental disorder has an increased chance of drug abuse.
